Ghanaian Business Delegation Explores Nebraska’s Agricultural Industry
A delegation of Ghanaian business leaders kicked off a week-long trade and investment mission in Nebraska with a visit to the Bayer processing plant in Kearney. The visit, facilitated by the Ghana Nebraska Agribusiness Trade and Relations Chamber, aimed to foster stronger ties between the two regions and explore opportunities for collaboration in the agricultural sector.
During the tour, the Ghanaian delegation was given a comprehensive overview of Bayer’s operations, including their seed production, processing, packaging and warehousing facilities. The company, established in 1959, supplies both domestically and internationally to countries such as Pakistan, Argentina and Chile.
The delegation was particularly impressed by Bayer’s commitment to safety and quality standards. They were briefed on the company’s business model and had the opportunity to witness firsthand the various stages of the seed production process. This visit was incredibly informative and provided delegates with valuable insights into the industry.
The Ghanaian delegation’s visit to Bayer marked the beginning of a series of events planned for the week-long mission. They will also be attending Husker Harvest Days, a major agricultural trade show and participating in various trade and investment activities.
