The Ghana-Nebraska Agribusiness Growth and Trade Relations Chamber (GNEBCham), in strategic partnership with Ecosyntra LLC, is pleased to announce the Ghana-Nebraska Livestock Modernization Partnership Delegation, a high-level trade and investment mission scheduled to take place from 17th to 23rd May 2026 in Omaha.
Positioned at the heart of America’s cattle country, Omaha will host Ghanaian agribusiness leaders for an intensive, week-long programme focused on advancing livestock production, feed systems and processing capabilities through practical exposure and strategic engagement.
This flagship initiative reflects Ghana-Nebraska Agribusiness Growth and Trade Relations Chamber (GNEBCham’s) ongoing commitment to strengthening bilateral agribusiness collaboration between Ghana and the United States, with a clear focus on delivering measurable outcomes for Ghana’s livestock value chain.
“This delegation represents a deliberate step toward building long-term, commercially viable relationships between Ghanaian and American agribusiness stakeholders,” said Senator Ken Schilz, Co-Founder of Ghana-Nebraska Agribusiness Growth and Trade Relations Chamber (GNEBCham) and Fomer Nebraska State Senator.
“Nebraska’s leadership in livestock production is not accidental, it is the result of decades of innovation, efficiency and strong private-sector collaboration. By bringing Ghanaian industry players into this ecosystem, we are creating a platform for knowledge transfer, investment alignment and mutually beneficial trade opportunities that can significantly accelerate growth in Ghana’s livestock sector.”

What Participants Will Gain
Participants in the delegation will engage directly with leading U.S. agribusiness executives, tour operational feedlots and processing facilities, and participate in structured business sessions designed to identify investment opportunities across the full livestock value chain from production to distribution.
The Ghana-Nebraska Livestock Modernization Partnership Delegation goes beyond a traditional study tour, offering delegates hands-on exposure to scalable systems in feed management, animal health and processing, while facilitating high-level networking that can lead to tangible partnerships and commercial deals.
Co-Founder of Ghana-Nebraska Agribusiness Growth and Trade Relations Chamber (GNEBCham), Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, emphasised the long-term value of the initiative for Ghanaian participants.
“Our goal is to ensure that every delegate returns with more than just insights, they return with actionable strategies, trusted partners and clear pathways for investment,” she stated.
“This delegation is designed to equip participants with the tools and relationships needed to scale their operations, improve efficiency and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s food security agenda. The exposure to advanced livestock systems in Nebraska will provide practical models that can be adapted to our local context.”
She further highlighted that the delegation aligns with GNEBCham’s broader vision of building a resilient and competitive agribusiness sector in Ghana through international collaboration.
Nebraska remains one of the most agriculturally productive regions in the United States, with a globally recognised cattle feeding and beef processing industry. Hosting the delegation in Omaha underscores the Ghana-Nebraska Agribusiness Growth and Trade Relations Chamber (GNEBCham) commitment to delivering direct access to industry leaders operating at the forefront of livestock innovation.
Ghana’s livestock sector continues to play a critical role in national food systems and rural livelihoods, yet faces persistent challenges in productivity, feed supply, and processing infrastructure. Initiatives such as the Ghana-Nebraska Livestock Modernization Partnership Delegation are designed to address these gaps by combining technical learning with strategic business development.
The Ghana Nebraska Agribusiness Growth and Trade Relations Chamber (GNEBCham) serves as the international representative arm of selected Nebraska senators, farmers, agribusinesses and subsidiaries voluntarily working with their Ghanaian partners to create an enabling environment for agribusiness and trade. With a growing membership of over 100 companies, GNEBCham remains dedicated to developing agribusiness trade ties and relationships, strengthening agricultural infrastructure, and driving sustainable economic growth between Ghana and Nebraska.
